All we need is love.....

On June 22, 2007 I woke up at 3:00am and wrote as quickly as I could, this awesome download from heaven.  I’d like to share it with you now.

I’m becoming more and more convinced as time goes on, that the revelation of His incredible, passionate love for us is the key to everything we long for.  Our own personal peace, deliverance, joy and success (on any level) is released to flourish with genuine revelatory understanding that ‘HE LOVES ME SO MUCH!’  The REALITY of His love brings rest in ANY situation.  My craving desire for the Body of Christ to be the secure, stable, powerful force in the earth that it should be, is realized only in revelation and application of this amazing love.

It is this perfect overwhelming love for us in our imperfect state that causes our souls to grasp the truth that, ‘I am dark, but lovely’.  (SS. 1:5)

This is the love that sends a prophet, in our time of weakness and guilt of sin and failure, to declare that he sees us as ‘FAITHFUL’.

This is the love that sees our heart that wants desperately to obey, and rejoices in that heart, when we’re feeling awful for our disobedience.

This is the love that calls a liar, a murderer, and an adulterer, a ‘man after God’s own heart.’

This is the love that is the key.  The key to deliverance from every hindrance that has kept me from all He has called me to.  The key to unlock confidence – because if the One who loves me so completely, has said… then SURELY it WILL come to pass.

Imagine with me the whole Body of Christ – WHOLE, with ths love.  Not weak, stumbling over offense, needing counsel and prophetic ministry to survive… but WHOLE.  An army of secure, love-sick individuals confident in this incomprehensible love.

THIS, is my dream.  THIS, is the one who signs and wonders will follow.  A body, (individual or corporate) who sees with eyes that have been opened by this powerful love; and who reaches out to touch, with hands that release this love.

Yes, I am more and more convinced, as time goes on – that this love is the key.  NOT, trying to muster it up to give… but being filled with the revelation  - ‘HE LOVES ME SO MUCH’!

Lord, please don’t let us fall into trying to figure out how we can show the love of God we have learned about.  Rather, help us RECEIVE, EMBRACE Your love for us so entirely, that we walk whole, confidant and fearless.  Just walk around, enamored, encapsulated in this love.  Then… we will move, touch, speak… LIVE out of this love.  That’s what You did, Lord.  Signs and wonders will follow.  Yes, I am convinced.

Supporting Scriptures

Scripture teaches that we must perceive correctly.  (As in, our perception of how much He loves us, and how constant that love is.)
John 12:27-30
27 Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour. But for this cause came I unto this hour.  28 Father, glorify thy name. There came therefore a voice out of heaven, (saying), I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.  29 The multitude therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it had thundered: others said, An angel hath spoken to him.  30 Jesus answered and said, This voice hath not come for my sake, but for your sakes.
The multitude only heard an impersonal act of nature.  Some, were a bit more spiritual and thought it was an angel, yet Jesus said the voice was not for His sake but for those who were with him.  Our ‘perception’ of what He has said determines how we respond.  Our ‘perception’ of what He has said is actually what we believe!  The revelation of this love opens our eyes to see as He sees.  (Ourselves, and others!)  This is why the apostolic prayers have so much about the ‘eyes’ of our hearts, and about this love.

Eph 1:17-19
17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him;
18 having the eyes of your heart enlightened, that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,  19 and what the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to that working of the strength of his might
According to this scripture, when we receive revelation in the knowledge of Him, then we can know the exceeding greatness of his power toward us.  How about this prayer…

Eph 3:17-19
…that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; to the end that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,18 may be strong to apprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,19 and to know the love of Christ which passeth knowledge, that ye may be filled unto all the fulness of God.
Verse 19 prays that we would KNOW or comprehend this love… THAT (or SO that) we might be filled to all the fullness of God!  I know it sounds strange but scripture supports this statement:  If you want to move in power (see signs and wonders follow YOU) then get a revelation of how much God love YOU!!

1 John 4:18
18 There is no fear in love: but perfect love casteth out fear, because fear hath punishment; and he that feareth is not made perfect in love.
So, if we can GET the reality of this perfect love, we will NOT walk in fear.  Therefore we will walk in confidence!  Do you want to have the kind of faith that sees miracles?
1Corinthians 13:7
Love believes all things.
Revelation of this love actually sets us free from unbelief! And the scripture says,
Galatians 5:6
Faith works through love.
Bill Johnson puts it this way in his book Dreaming With God: “Overwhelming encounters with the extravagant love of our heavenly Father will do much to dismantle unbelief”  And “It is reasonable to say that even the faith to believe God for miracles can come by experiencing His love.”

Ask for revelation of just how much and how consistently He loves YOU.  Pursue Him.  And RECEIVE.  Father I pray that each reader would be blessed with fresh revelation of your amazing, unrelenting love for us.  In the coming days, I pray at every turn they would hear you speak of and show, this passionate unparalleled love.  Amen.

Recording in Progress...

Ok, so I said I would blog, which by definition seems to imply more than one writing!!  :-)  I said I would write again about the upcoming recording project, and then seemed to fall off the edge of the earth!  Well, there is some question about the timing of going to Israel, and the recording was put aside to get through the holidays without disrupting family too much.  But here we are, and it's time to pick up blogging... and, recording.

It all started (this idea of recording again) after the Lord spoke about releasing me to go to Israel.  I had dreamed for so long of SOMEDAY going to Israel, that just the idea of actually going stirred so deeply in me, that I couldn't help but sing!  'Israel's Song' was birthed out of that moment.

"To touch the ground right where Your feet have walked with multitudes!
To breathe the air the woman breathed who touched the hem of Your robe.
(When) virtue flowed out of you.  Let it flow out of me!
Feet on the ground there, my heart in the heavenlies!
Where You stood when you taught us to pray, I'll reach up into heaven pull down for today.

To worship You like David did - IN JERUSALEM!
To praise You there, as You raise up his tabernacle, again!
All that I know is I hear my heart pound, just at the thought of releasing Your sound (there).
I'll shout at Jericho, weep at Rhema, cry in the wilderness, 'prepare the way'
'Cause I am for song, God and I'll be Your sound.  I'll open my heart with my ear to the ground!

There's no tellin' what I'll hear there, no tellin' what I'll see...
But I know there's revelation and sound stored up for me."

  • Although other songs will be included, this one was the catalyst for a recording.  It's hard to explain how I feel that a trip to Israel is significantly tied to 'my assignment', or what God has called me to do.  It has to do with the line in the song 'Cause I am for song, God and I'll be Your sound.  I'll open my heart with my ear to the ground.'  I believe I will hear the sounds of heaven there, in a way I never have yet.  I expect to bring home increased revelation and deeper intimacy with Jesus.   More songs for the body of Christ, will come, as a result of placing my feet on the ground of Israel and putting my 'ear to the ground' while I'm there.

You see, I chose the web address (Iamforsong) for this blog very intentionally. Within the last number of months the Lord has touched me to the core from the scripture about Chenaniah.

"And Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, was for song: he instructed about the song, because he was skilful."  1 Chron 15:22 KJV
What does THAT mean?  That he was 'FOR SONG'?  It's sooooo good, I just have to share it with you.  There are a number of Hebrew words that can be translated 'song' in English.… they mean what you would expect; singing, musical,  one specific to using instruments, that kind of thing. BUT THIS  ‘song’ (Strongs 4853) means a burden, porterage, singing, desire, prophecy, song.   From root (5375) to lift, arise, bring forth, marry magnify, stir up, YIELD.  Are you getting this?  Chenaniah was all about the prophetic song of intercession.  It means burden.  That coupled with singing, desire, and prophecy can only mean singing prophetic intercession!  The word 'porterage' is explained this way in our dictionary:
‘Porterage’ – the transportation of goods by a porter. The charge for this transportation.  DOOR OPENER.

Now, I don't know about you, but when I spend time in worship and intercession before the throne of God, this sounds like what I want to do.  I want to 'enter into His gates' and transport goods from the storehouse in heaven, and bring them to earth!  I want to be a part of seeing His Kingdom established in the earth!  I want to open doors for others to enter His presence and experience all He has for them!  There are many references in scripture to the gatekeepers, who are almost always listed with the singers in David's tabernacle.  As God is restoring David's tabernacle in the body of Christ in the earth today, there are more and more of us who are recognizing the marriage of worship and intercession, and our place as those who reach into heaven, and pull down the Kingdom for today.  So, I believe that Chenaniah was the prophetic song leader.  The one who taught others how to hear the sounds of heaven, and sing them into the earth.  Now THAT'S what I'm talkin' about!!  :-)  And now, more than ever, I know, that... 'I am for song'.

So, as I move ahead, making some songs available to others... I'll keep you posted, or should I say, blogged.  :-)  And, because several of the songs came out of incredible times in the Word, I'll share a bit of revelation I feel the Lord has shared with me, along the way.  Blessings to you all.  Thanks for reading.
P.S.There is also a song 'Dance' that many of you have asked me for.  Oh, I should save that for the next time.  :-)  But yes, it will be on the recording, along with a few others as well.

Me? A blogger?

Okay, so this is quite a challenge for me, but I have a feeling I'm going to really enjoy it once I get the hang of it.  I never would have believed that I would be blogging, until this whole Israel thing began to unfold.  Me? Going to Israel?  This is a dream come true, and I believe He has said it is so.

Let me start at the beginning and STILL try to keep it short.  (Whew, this is hard!)  I've wanted to go to Israel ever since I came to Jesus in 1972.  (Doesn't every believer?)  I have a insatiable appetite for His word.  Not just reading it... but digging... searching for the hidden treasures He's placed there for us.  I think the more we love the word, the more meaningful a trip to Israel can be.  I mean, I can't imagine the depth of revelation to be had THERE, in the land where it all happened!  You see, I'm a worshiper to the very core of my being, and I will worship in Jerusalem, as David did!  (Woah, Jude, you're getting ahead of yourself!)

Okay.  So, about 5 weeks ago a friend of mine came into town (with her cousin) for her son's wedding.  As we were catching up as old friends do over dinner, her cousin leaned over the table and said, 'You need to come to Israel with us!'  (I learned later that she specifically felt prompted by the Lord to say that.)  We didn't talk about it much, but as I dropped them off at their hotel, I was almost overcome with the idea of ACTUALLY going to Israel.  I woke up several times throughout the night thinking about it, and had an amazing prayer time the next morning.  All I'll say about that, is that 38 years of dusty dreams came to the surface, and I am convinced that the Lord has said it's time for me to go.

The trip is a tour through CBU travel and tours.  My friend Jane will be doing Bible teaching and I have the privilege to lead the worship along the way!  IN ISRAEL!!  Can you imagine?  The cost for this trip is way out of my league, but not out of my Father's ability or heart to provide.  As a confirmation to my sometimes weak faith, within a week of thinking I heard the Lord say I could go and that He would make all the provision necessary, I had received almost half of what I will need to go.

So what does that all have to do with blogging, you ask?  There are many of you who I would like to keep posted on developments towards this amazing trip (which will include a recording project I'll tell you more about later).  There's already too much happening to keep all of you up on it!   Also, I'll need to keep a daily journal once I'm there, and share all the wonderful things God is doing!  I KNOW you'll want to hear all of that!   So....... the blog.

I hope you'll come back and keep up with my news.  Next, I'll be sharing about the upcoming recording project.  Some exciting things are happening there that I specifically want to share with those of you who attended my workshop at the Gathering of Artisans Conference in October.  Blessings to you all!
